On July 3, 2008, Tennessee Street had a historic make over. Banners were
put up between Monterey Street and Napa Street. The beautiful banners showcase the merchants on Tennessee Street - making
Tennessee Street not only a thoroughfare to Mare Island but a destination in itself.
Be part of history! Purchase a banner! The cost per banner is $200. Every penny goes
to the printing of the banners, and the brackets that hold them up. Tennessee Street merchants and business owners
have first priority on buying the banners, but everyone is welcome to reserve one.
So there will be an equal distribution of designs of banners on the street, Team Tennessee
will choose what design goes with what sponsor.
